Death is everywhere. Our cat not aware of it in the country side.

25/9, it has been 8 years… Was a sunny happy weekend.
Spring 2011, it started in a nice way but unexpectedly ended with a self tragedy. I have experimented shooting a dia positive film with my Leica Minilux. Unlike experimental lomography with crossprocessing I wanted to try obtaining some nice dia’s from my shots in Brussels. I started from the north part of the city in Botanique.
It was a sunny day, a Sunday I suppose. I had my favorite camera with me and I was at a wonderful location. Well weather was tempting because it was like summer rather than spring. So I enjoyed couple of beers at the Bota first. Read a book laying in the grass.
It’s a lovely Botanical garden that you can keep your soul rest despite the traffic passing by.
It is surrounded by big trees, well behind are even bigger concrete, steel and glass architecture.
You can start the visit from the top part and than go down the hill. You will like what you find in the shade.
I do not know if you feel like sitting down. No need to feel bad, you do not need the bench. Go ahead and enjoy the green.
Enter the door.
But also look up.
Well, I cut my visit at the Botanique and then took the metro.
Come to the southern part of the city, to the campus. Agfa CT Precisa makes great tones with red color. So I was very happy to see this red van sleeping on the General Jacques Boulevard.
A daily path that I always keep is just located parallel to the busy General Jacques. It smells great in the spring time. This is my road not taken.
In that road I always keep smiling.
Spring was in the campus and it was a Sunday so was a lazy day to think.
Tree next to the thinker was in full blossoms in pink. There are more of these trees in the campus and it brought back the memories from 2010 April.
Behind is my office.
As I say it was a lazy Sunday afternoon. A father and son was playing together. And the dog!
My idea with Agfa CT Precisa was to shoot a lot of red tones. I thought landscape in Botanique and the university campus will provide enough material. They did but I did not have the best motivation that day. It was extremely hot so I kept enjoying cold beer before making my shots. I also did not want to spend a lot to scan these dia’s so I done a self manual scan at the office. Highly unprofessional so all photos in this post are not color corrected.
Anyway, life is ups and downs and it is good to see that love is still around…
Now that I tried this film, I wonder what will happen if I do cross-processing. Quoting from the lomography site: this old piano prefers blue notes to anything else, and will do anything to melodically play them into your image. Showing moderate grain and contrast, strong but not overpowering tones of blue, magenta, blue-green, and reddish-blue (see a trend here?) will impart an overall color-shift to your image.
