My blog followers know that I usually upload my photography on Flickr and share it from there on daily posts. This photoblog is about my daily pavement adventures. For this weeks weekly photo challenge I have decided to have my HTC Desire S (Android) with me for a day (actually two) and tried to document what I do in a typical day.

The first four pictures that are presented in a collage are related to what my eyes witness when I wake up each day. I look at the ceiling, then to the wall and finally on my slippers. I usually end up in the bathroom brushing my teeth.

From my childhood I am used to have a proper breakfast. Well to admit not the Turkish way, where we go ahead and have tea, feta cheese some bagels, eggs and etc. Anyway I prefer to have oatmeal with milk or as presented in the picture toast with tea.

In the next image you see my favorite wardrobe.  Being a nomad myself I have not invested in a proper furniture in my flat, yet. So these cheapo style wardrobe includes my favorite jeans, t-shirts and sweaters. Hmm, also my underwear :) So it is the dressing up time. Unfortunately due to cold weather (no spring time here in Belgium this year) I usually end up with the same Levi’s jeans and some pullover.

Third comes my workspace, the favorite corner in my living room. When I am teleworking or staying home I am on my desk, blogging, working with photography or conducting research.

During the Easter weekend I did not have special plans. Concerts are my regular habit and this time I had tickets for Balmorhea concert in Antwerp. I am not the ones who make constant photos in a live gig. Balmorhea had an amazing live performance and I was lucky to be in the very front to enjoy. Here I am presenting an instagram from the concert where Aisha Burns is seen. She was amazing!

Last but not the least I keep wondering outside. In this particular picture I am asking where the hell is spring!

sad olive tree #delft

A sad olive tree in a cold environment. Olive trees feel home to me. Izmir is surrounded by olive trees. The pastel green is a delicate color. Its leaves are fragile but also stubborn to resist most difficult weather conditions. It was my moms favorite. We had two ancient olive trees in our country house. My father planted another three. Both my father and mother rest in peace, the trees are there resisting all the suffering… That’s my home. Today in Delft, the Netherlands I have passed this olive tree standing next to a coffe shop. They have wrapped it for the winter.
