I think every photographer like to make self portraits. It is not easy and perhaps not very interesting as it sounds but you have challenge in installing your camera, arrange precise focus and make sure exposure and light is proper. Making self portraits outside requires even more details such as facing the attention of people passing by. I know with digital cameras and smart phones it is easy to stretch your hand and make a self portrait and publish it on Instagram or Facebook but I still keep preferring the analogue old-school way. No, I do not need mirror as in the below photo to do my self portrait sometimes a shiny teaspoon is also enough to have reflections of my face.

Check this tumblr for famous self portraits:

I keep looking to understand this crazy consumerism of people.

No, I will not post a photo of snow or rain today. For me change of seasons also is with the liveliness of streets. Although the two photos in this post are from September, it feels like winter. Cold, dark and lonely.

This is the month of empty tables in terraces…

High grain results from the cross processing of Fuji Chrome (20 years old film). I will be shooting more with this film stock as I have recently acquired many of them. My idea is to process this film as B/W in the near future. Looking forward for it.

stella

Stella or Jupiler, which one do you prefer? Both pintje (beer) are fine. If you have fries, maybe amazing.

bite me

Life is struggle for something you care. Does it worth the struggle? What do you care? You have bite concrete walls to open narrow doors. Is it better to lose some weight instead to walk through?

frame

The frames in this building are renewable. Sustainable architecture, eco-houses or green buildings are not referring to this but related. If your building is environmentally responsible and resource-efficient you may call it green. Technology helps you to create such constructions but I find it rather a catchy concept to make more money than for sustainability. In the past we used to have natural houses meaning build totally local; here I mean the carbon footprint. Today, in this sophisticated eco-house could be build by construction material that is sent overseas, etc. What is also interesting is having an eco-house and driving a SUV to your garage or decorating your home with furniture that is harmful to nature. Anyway instead of painting the facade of this building in Brussels a green framework is in my opinion a nice example of green building applications that you can do without any expense. Enjoy the renewal with changing seasons.

choice?

Politics is the playground for many. Do you really think you have a choice in this system?
